Danny Ceisler, the Army Captain turned Bucks County Sheriff who quickly ended a collaboration agreement with ICE, has been named keynote speaker for the signature Easton Area Democratic Committee spring fundraiser.

Ceisler, a Bronze Star Medal honoree and the second youngest Sheriff in Pennsylvania, will speak at the We The People Brunch at 11 a.m. on April 12 at Green Pond Country Club.

Tickets are $60. Reserve yours now by Paypal at EADC@EastonDems or call Alan Messinger at 610-751-7212.

In announcing the changed relationship with ICE, a campaign promise, Ceisler emphasized the county is not a sanctuary county but added, according to WHYY:

“When large numbers of our residents are afraid to call 911, or come to court and testify, that makes our entire community less safe. This is not a public safety problem for immigrants. This is a public safety problem for everyone.”

The We The People Brunch also includes invitations to all Democratic candidates in the May Primary Election to speak, including those in the pivotal PA-07 Congressional race to take back the U.S. House.

It’s great company and a tasty meal and more importantly your opportunity to become more informed on the future of Democracy in the Easton Area and beyond.
